The Power of a 3-Day Reset

Every so often, I love giving myself a few days to reset. Not because I need to “undo” anything, and not because wellness has to be all-or-nothing. A short reset is simply an opportunity to come back to the habits that make me feel the most grounded, nourished, energized, and connected to myself.
And sometimes, three intentional days are enough to shift your momentum.
My 3-Day Reset
For three days, I bring my attention back to a few simple foundations:
Morning lemon water + fresh juice. I start my mornings by hydrating with lemon water, followed by a fresh juice packed with fruits and vegetables. It creates a simple morning ritual that immediately reminds me: today, I’m taking care of myself.
Breath + movement. Before getting swept into the day, I make space to breathe and move. This could be yoga, stretching, a walk, strength training, or simply a few intentional minutes of movement. The goal isn't intensity, it's connection back to breath and body.
High-protein nourishment. A reset should still be nourishing. I focus on colorful, whole-food meals with plenty of plant-based protein to keep me satisfied, energized, and supported throughout my day. I avoid any processed foods and choose to cook rather than eating out.
Sleep as a priority. Sleep becomes part of the reset, too. Earlier nights, less stimulation before bed, and giving my body the time it needs to truly recover. Maybe picking up a book that I can read instead of looking at my phone.
Set Up Your Environment
One of my favorite parts of a reset happens before it even begins. Prep something. You don't have to meal prep every meal. It can be as simple as making a few fresh juices and lining them up in your refrigerator. Every time you open the fridge, you see a physical reminder of the commitment you've made to yourself.
Our environment has an incredible influence on our habits. Make the healthy choice visible, accessible, and beautiful.
Find Your Community
Community is huge when we're trying to create a healthier lifestyle. If you're doing a short reset, consider making connection part of it. Drop into that yoga class you've been curious about. Try the new Pilates studio down the road. Go for a walk with a friend who inspires you. Visit your local farmers market. Remember: community isn't only where you workout. It's where you shop. It's where you work. It's where you spend your mornings. It's the people and environments you surround yourself with.
When you're trying to align your life with a healthier version of yourself, pay attention to the spaces that make that version of you feel natural.
Mind. Body. Soul.
A reset isn't just about what you eat. It's creating space to check in with your mind. It's nourishing and moving your body. It's reconnecting with the rituals, people, places, and practices that feed your soul. You don't need a new month, a Monday, or a major life change to begin again.
Sometimes you just need three intentional days to remember how good it feels to take care of yourself.
