Serves 4-6 people
Ingredients
Strawberries
• 16 oz of Strawberries
• 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
• 1 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
Dough
• 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour (options to use Almond Flour for GF choice)
• 1/2 cup cold water
• 1/4 cup olive oil
Glaze
• Maple Syrup
Garnish
• Edible Flowers
Directions:
Preheat oven to 355°
Rince, cut and dry strawberries. Cut each strawberry into 3-4 pieces each.
In a large bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix together thoroughly and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Combine flour, water and olive oil together in a kitchen mixer. Mix until fully combined.
Place dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll out into a formed circle.
Transfer dough with bottom parchment paper to a baking tray and begin to place strawberries into the middle. Filling the dough from the center out.
Fold the edges of the dough in so that they overlap one another and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
Remove galette from the oven. Options to glaze with maple syrup and top with edible flowers.
